Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 13, 2026
Overview
PrayerOS is built to keep your prayer life private. This policy explains what data the app handles, how it is stored, and what choices you have. PrayerOS does not sell your data, and it does not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
Data We Store
- Prayer requests and entries are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded to any PrayerOS server.
- Reminders/notifications, if you enable them, are scheduled locally through Apple's notification system and are not sent to PrayerOS servers.
- Contacts are accessed only if you choose to attach or reach out to someone from within the app, using Apple's system contacts picker. PrayerOS does not upload or store your contact list.
- Markdown autosave, if enabled, writes files to a Files/iCloud Drive folder that you choose, using Apple's system file picker. PrayerOS does not access this folder beyond writing the files you request.
Third-Party Services
PrayerOS does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. Optional features (notifications, contacts, file storage) are handled entirely through Apple's own system frameworks and are governed by your iOS device settings and Apple's own privacy practices.
Your Choices
- You can enable or disable notifications, contacts access, and file access at any time in the iOS Settings app.
- Deleting the app removes locally stored prayer data from your device, except for any files you've explicitly saved to Files/iCloud Drive.
Children's Privacy
PrayerOS is not directed at children under 13, and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Continued use of PrayerOS after changes means you accept the updated policy.
